Hours, Pay Rate, Description:

1st shift: Monday – Friday 6am-2pm

2nd shift: Monday – Friday 2pm-midnight, Saturday 1pm-9pm

$14 – $16 hourly pay rate (depending on experience)

Purpose:

Set up and operate CNC machines. Works from Process Routings, Blueprints, and verbal instructions.

Principle Accountabilities:

All set up paperwork for blueprints, set up fixtures, and gages.

Positions and secures tools in machine as instructed by process sheets and set up procedures.

Sets controls to set specified speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts.

Positions and secures workpiece in jaws or fixture.

Indexes machine and adjustments positions of tools at each operation in relation to workpiece to assure clearance between moving parts and machining of specified dimensions and tolerances.

Run first piece and checks to stated dimensions.

Observes operation and changes tooling and inserts as necessary during operations.

Verifies conformance of machined workpieces to specifications as stated in inspection sequence.

Set ups may involved, bolting fixtures and jaws, setting and adjusting from different tools in cutting tools, setting machine stops, feeds and speeds, checking dimension on set up piece and making final tool adjustments.

Makes autonomous maintenance adjustments to machinery and fluid levels.

Records daily production and is responsible for returning all set up material and paperwork to proper areas.

Responsible for periodic part inspection to assure production of quality parts.

Operator is solely responsible for checking the part from first piece through periodic inspections.

Responsible for housekeeping or machine and work area.

Assists new operators on set up.

3rd shift positions available: Sunday-Thursday (Sometimes work Fridays) 10:30pm-7:00am

Duties/Requirements:

  • Team based and fast paced non-stop production environment
  • Required to be standing and mobile for entire shift
  • Scanning orders in and filling
  • Must be able to lift and stack pallets and operate a pallet jack
  • Be able to climb platform to clear jams in the machine
  • Attention to detail and to be able to utilize tools to ensure order accuracy
  • Training will be provided for all aspects of the job
  • Must have a high school diploma

Labor Temps is recruiting Sorters to work at our growing client located in Northlake, IL. We are seeking hardworking, motivated and reliable individuals to join our client’s warehouse team.

 

Job Title – High Speed Inserter Operator / Mail Sorter

The Warehouse Associate Regular Sorter will be expected to:

  • Sort mail into postal trays using tray tag zip code sortation (3 digit, 5 digit, carrier route, etc.)
  • Independently operate mechanical inserter at a minimum of 3K per hour
  • Good attendance is required

The Warehouse Associate Advanced Sorter will be expected to:

  • Independently operate the following machines: Card Affixers, Read/Write camera match inserter, folders
  • Good attendance is required

Other position requirements include:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities which include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to stand and walk and occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch• Keep a clean work area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of read/write inserting operation & bindery equipment
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and mail preparation
  • Knowledge and ability to sort mail at bundle break designation for 3 digits, 5 digit and carrier route level classification of USPS mail
