    Frequently Asked Questions

What sets Labor Temps above the other staffing solutions companies?

Service is a key factor in the Staffing Industry, and Labor Temps will do whatever it takes to keep our customers happy. Most agencies will merely take your order and send people out the door. We believe that the first step in managing your staffing solutions is to listen and make sure that we have a full understanding of your staffing needs, requirements, and the specific skills necessary to fulfill your assignment.

Our professional sales consultants work with you closely on a day to day basis to make sure you are satisfied with our services. If, for whatever reason, you are not happy with the people we dispatch to your location, call us up within the first two hours of the work day and we will replace the workers at no charge to you for the hours worked.

We understand that labor is an extremely important factor in your business and that is why we build long term partnerships with our clients, making Labor Temps an important part of your workforce. The Labor Temps Network has provided service for 20 years from offices throughout the city and suburbs.

    What is temporary staffing?

Temporary staffing allows companies to adjust their workforce on an as-needed basis. As needs change due to fluctuations in your business and production forecasts, temporary staffing allows you the flexibility to call us on a daily, weekly, or more permanent basis to order the number of people you require from 1 to 500. Our workers will remain at your location until they complete their assignment.

    What is employee leasing?

Many companies would like to hire and control their own temporary personnel, but are unsure as to the length of their needs. We at Labor Temps will solve that problem by taking those people, pre-selected by the customer, place them on our payroll and lease them back to the customer. Under this method, you, the customer, will control the hiring, training, and management of these employees. We place those employees selected by you on our payroll and lease them back to you for a nominal fee. Under that scenario, we absorb the total employee cost, including unemployment tax, worker's compensation, salary and any other costs or taxes related to the employee.

    What is temp to perm?

Through this method of temporary staffing, our customers hire our workers on a temporary basis and have the option to hire those employees on a full time basis at the end of a pre-determined time period. This allows our clients to see exactly how the employee works, and to determine if he or she would be an asset to their permanent work force. Temp to perm time frames typically are for 30 working days or 90 calendar days. If our customer and our employees feel that their relationship is a good fit on both sides, our employee signs off with us and goes to their new employer with our blessing. There is nothing better for Labor Temps than to satisfy our customers and our employees with the wonderful opportunity for them to find a permanent job.

What is an on-site manager and what are their responsibilities?

Simply put, on-site managers will control all aspects of our temporary workforce while working at your location. The OSM will be responsible for checking in the workers at the beginning of the shift, managing their workflow, overseeing their production, and signing them out at the end of their shift. With an OSM you will have one point of contact for the entire group of workers, allowing our customers to be free of related responsibilities.
